National, State and Local IT Leaders to Conduct Cyber Summit for Businesses and Local Government

Information technology leaders from the National Association of Counties and the State of Missouri will be in Columbia on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 for the Boone County & City of Columbia Cyber Summit. From 9:30AM until 11:30AM, a panel discussion for the business community will be held in the Boone County Government Center Commission Chambers. From 1:30PM - 4:00PM, Jerryl Guy, Information Technology Manager for the National Association of Counties will lead the panel discussion for local government in the City of Columbia Council Chambers.
Cyber Summit participants will learn about cybersecurity, threats and best practices. Through a presentation on cyber threats affecting both the public and private sectors within Missouri and across the nation, the panels will discuss the evolution of the threat and ways to partner to address it moving forward. Panel participants will present on trends and analysis of tactics, techniques, and procedures used by malicious actors in targeting their sectors as well as notable cybersecurity best practices.
Cybersecurity for the Business Community panelists include Mike Roling, Missouri Chief Information Security Officer; Patti Dudenhoeffer, Security Analyst, MOREnet; Randy Raw, Information Security Manager, Veterans United Home Loans; and Jerryl Guy, Information Technology Manager, National Association of Counties. Cybersecurity for Local Government panelists include Patti Dudenhoeffer, Security Analyst, MOREnet; Aaron Heath, Lead Server/Network Specialist, Technology Services, Columbia Public Schools; and Mike Roling, Missouri Chief Information Security Officer.
The Cyber Summit is sponsored by the County of Boone, the City of Columbia, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Mid-Missouri Regional Planning Commission.
